A correctly adjusted chinstrap is an integral part of the safety provided by any cycling helmet. If your chin strap isn’t correctly tensioned there is a risk that the strap may pull through the buckle. Always make sure that the chin strap is adequately cinched up every time you put your helmet on. A loose chin strap potentially reduces the effectiveness of your helmet.
