OUR STORY

Way back in 1988, Planet X was founded in the steel city of Sheffield by and for cycling enthusiasts. We were frustrated by the way extortionate gear costs were pricing otherwise devoted cyclists out of the game - making cycling a hobby only for the wealthy - so we decided to do something about it. And thus, Planet X was born. 
Admittedly, the ideals that make Planet X the bike experts you know and love haven’t changed much since then. Planet X was founded with the mandate to make cycling accessible to all via great quality gear and affordable prices, and we’re proud to say we’ve never stopped.
Over the years, as the company grew, we’ve been able to improve our offering to make ourselves a one stop shop for all your cycling needs. Now we offer a range of high quality products and services, from pro-level bikes and gear to custom bike building and live video support.

THE BIKES

We've made a LOT of bikes over the last 30 years, Here's some oldies but goldies and some current favourites.
Pro Carbon
The ultimate industry disruptor. The super compact Pro Carbon was affordable but didn't compromise on spec. Todays version updates the classic but still offers unbeatable spec for the price tag!
Stealth
Before hidden brakes, internal cables and removable aero fairings. The Planet X Stealth was a regular on the UK TT and Tri scene. A re-badged version even made an appearance at the tour.
On-One Inbred
From our Sister Company On-One, The inbred was many riders first mud-encrusted love. With a robust yet springy steel frame and available in 26" and 29" flavours, the Inbred is a perennial favourite of our riders old and new!
XLS
Before Gravel Bikes were a thing, A Cyclocross Bike was your ultimate all-rounder and it's fair to say that our full carbon, flanders liveried XLS couldn't be beaten!
Tempest
A current favourite and constently the best value Titanium Gravel bike available today. The Tempest was early to the gravel party and has truly stood the test of time.
